Program designed by Cheryl Gushue
Program Objectives
The Make up Artistry program equips students with the essential skills and knowledge required to work in today’s rapidly changing
make-up industry. The program is designed
for the student who is serious about becoming an editorial or runway make-up artist.
An introduction to the major players, image-makers and trend-setters in the field, including designers,
photographers and artists, will assist students in understanding the dynamics of the make-up industry. Students will learn
- how to plan and execute
a successful photo shoot, editorial or runway show,
- how to use professional techniques to create a wide range of looks, from
simple and natural, to the very exotic, and
- how to achieve a classic bridal or red carpet look.
Field trips and guest speakers are
also key components of a program designed to provide students with the most up-to-date technical skills and expertise, as well as
an understanding of the latest industry trends, developments, expectations and opportunities.
